At Speech Matters India, we create small, warm spaces where children between the ages of 5.5 and 14 can find their voice — at their own pace, in their own way.

Our weekly sessions are small-group, ongoing programmes that run through the term. Children build skills gradually over time — developing confidence, language, expression and the habit of speaking up.
Sessions cover conversation, storytelling, public speaking, listening, reading aloud and creative thinking. The work is age-appropriate, interactive and always rooted in what each child needs.

Ages
5.5 to 14 years
Our children's workshops are standalone sessions designed for groups — intensive, practical and built around a specific theme or skill.
Workshops vary in length depending on the topic and what the group needs. When we host them in Mumbai they typically run across five days. When hosted by a school or organisation, they can be one to three days. Online workshops are generally one to two hours, though we have run multi-session online programmes as well.
Build confidence through conversation, storytelling, extempore speaking, listening and public speaking. Interactive, age-appropriate sessions designed to help children think clearly and express themselves with confidence.
Develop reading fluency, expressive reading, inference and a love of reading for pleasure. Because reading is not just decoding words — it is learning to listen, imagine and make meaning.
Storytelling as a tool for connection and self-expression — exploring narrative structure, voice, reading aloud and audience engagement.
Intensive workshops held during school holidays. Hosted in Mumbai across five days, or online. A concentrated, joyful way for children to develop their voice outside of term time.
